About the orchestra

An orchestra designed for the way music is made now.

Founded in Toronto in 2022, the Canadian Studio Symphony is a flexible recording ensemble dedicated to media music and compelling new orchestral work. Each session is assembled around the music—bringing together the right players, soloists, and production team for the project at hand.

The orchestra’s first album, Evocations, established that mission through music by co-founder Felipe Téllez, under the direction of co-founder and conductor Lorenzo Guggenheim. Since then, the ensemble has brought deep recording experience to film and media scores, artist albums, and concert repertoire—both new and traditional.
